Compact/Compaction: 'As more and more snow falls it's weight compacts the snow beneath it.'
Sequence: 'The sequence of events in the formation of a sedimentary rock are burial, compaction, and cementation'
Gradient: 'The coffee cooled rapidly as could be seen by the steep gradient of the graph.'
Precipitate: 'When the droplets of water in the clouds become too heavy for the air to support they precipitate'
Soluble: 'Salt is highly soluble in water'
Sorted: 'The beads could be sorted by color or by size'
Ascend: 'As air ascends through the troposphere it's temperature decreases'
Intensity: 'As winds and rain increased it became clear that the storm was growing in intensity'
Trench: 'A trench was dug in which the sewer pipe would be buried'
Scatter: 'Molecules of air scatter light by reflecting it in random directions'
Unstable: 'Fronts are places where unstable air causes rapid changes in weather'
